Certified Joomla! Expertise

The Joomla! Content Management System is the 2nd most popular CMS on the web today powering around 8% of websites. It offers a multilingual and highly extensible platform which lends itself to advanced functional websites which offer true interaction and connection with visitors.

WebAppz took a strategic decision to focus on Joomla! as their core platform in 2007 and have been developing extensions and building Joomla! sites ever since. To date they have built in excess of 300 Joomla! based sites from basic advertorial sites to heavily customised and functional workhorses which cover e-commerce, customer management, licence management, even a credit checking system.

One of our co-founders, Hugh Douglas-Smith serves as the Operations Director on the board of Open Source Matters Inc, the company behind the Joomla! open source project. Hugh is a certified Joomla! administrator and an active member of the Joomla! open source community acting as the lead of the marketing team for the 2017 Joomla! world conference in Rome and as the Reviews Manager of the Joomla! Extensions Directory. Hugh speaks regularly at Joomla! conferences around the world and is well versed with the capabilities of Joomla! as the foundation of very complex and functional systems.

WebAppz employs a team of skilled programmers who are all fully versed with the skills and experience to develop and configure Joomla! extensions. We are able to take on projects which have been started or built in Joomla!, bring them up to date to the latest version as well as secure them and add further functionality.
